Course objectives

A picture tells a thousand words, and so does data visualization. With visualizations, we can explain the insights obtained from the analysis of increasingly large datasets using data science and machine learning algorithms. In the workplace, good data visualization plays an essential role in communicating your point of view with your team and management. This short course aims to enhance your visualization skills using Python, an essential language as part of your data science workflow.

In this course, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of good visual design principles. With hands-on experience, you will learn how to leverage various data visualization libraries in Python, namely Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Bokeh. You will also gain knowledge on how to programmatically create both static and interactive graphs to present data in a form that makes sense to people. Data visualization using Python enables you to extract information, better understand the data, and ultimately make more effective decisions. It helps you to tell a compelling story and focus on how to communicate with effective visualizations for maximum impact.
