Markus Kirchberg
Director, Data Analytics Consulting Centre
 Associate Professor

Dr. Markus Kirchberg brings over two decades of experience in research, technology-driven innovation, and the end-to-end productionisation of data-driven solutions. His career spans academia, industrial research, and incubation labs (including A*STAR, HP Labs, and Visa Labs APAC) as well as a decade in the startup ecosystem as a founder, founding member, and tech lead. Markus’s expertise covers the full innovation lifecycle, from ideation to production, with deep technical strengths in cloud computing, multi-petabyte-scale data management, data privacy, large-scale analytics, and machine learning. He has led impactful initiatives across aerospace, FinTech, healthcare, logistics, RegTech, SupTech, and trade finance, translating cutting-edge research into scalable, real-world solutions. At DACC, Markus plays a key role in advancing the centre’s mission to bridge academic excellence with industry application through applied data science and AI.

Viktoria Zlomanova

Data Scientist

Viktoria brings extensive experience in data science to DACC. Her expertise spans the full data science stack, from infrastructure development to advanced analytics. Her experience combines hands-on data engineering with sophisticated data science applications, enabling end-to-end solution development for complex analytical challenges.

Her technical portfolio includes:

  • Design and implementation of cloud-based data systems
  • Development of machine learning pipelines and ETL processes
  • Natural Language Processing and Large Language Models
  • Geospatial analysis and visualisation

Enterprise Data Infrastructure Transformation 

We are working with a major organisation to implement comprehensive data infrastructure and advanced analytics capabilities. The project encompasses data engineering, data science implementation, and strategic alignment of business objectives with data infrastructure. Key focuses include centralising analytics operations, establishing robust data governance, and enhancing executive decision-making through predictive analytics. 

Start-up Analytics Framework 

We are collaborating with a growing company to develop comprehensive KPIs, performance metrics, and predictive models. The project culminates in a predictive insights dashboard to drive business decisions. 

Internal Systems Development 

We are developing a full-stack expense claims application for the NUS Department of Statistics and Data Science using WASP, Django and React, which demonstrates our technical capabilities in modern application development.
