The strong law for independent and identically distributed random variables with finite variance is the intersection of Kolmogorov (1930) and Etemadi (1981). It will be proposed that this fact is more conducive for grasping the probabilistic content of the law, not just in a graduate course, but also in an undergraduate course that covers the weak law. I will present technical details of Kolmogorov as described by Richard von Mises, and briefly discuss the frequency interpretation of probability.
