Existing self-financing Research Students can apply for the Research Scholarship. They must be considered by the department as showing the same level of academic performance as expected of Research Scholars. Recommendations for such Research Scholarship awards should come from their respective thesis advisor(s) and the Department Head. The recommendation will then be forwarded to the Division of Research and Graduate Studies, Faculty of Science.

Please download “Application for Conversion of Candidature Between Full-time and Part-time (Graduate Research Students)” from NUS Graduate School- https://nusgs.nus.edu.sg/forms/ and submit it to the thesis advisor and department for approval.

Students should contact department if the students wish to apply for extension of their scholarships.

Please download “Application for Change of Thesis Title/Research Topic Form” from NUS Graduate School- https://nusgs.nus.edu.sg/forms/ and submit it to thesis advisor and department for approval.

Please download “Appointment of New/Change of Thesis Advisor(s) Form” from NUS Graduate School-  https://nusgs.nus.edu.sg/forms/ and submit it to the thesis advisor and department for approval.

Students should contact department if they wish to transfer from one faculty or department to another.

Research scholars are not allowed to accept employment, whether or not he/she is remunerated, except for departmental work in NUS for which they will be remunerated.
