"Usually not in" means that I am typically not in my office but that I may be on some weeks.
You can try your luck on any other time. If I am not in the office, you may want to check the common room (close to the reception) or the library.
If you want to ensure that I am in my office when you come by, you should arrange for a meeting via e-mail.
