Statistics Advice Centre

Announcement

The Statistics Advice Centre will operate from 18 August 2009 onwards. The centre offers free, advisory service to all NUS researchers (staff and students) to discuss matters of a statistical nature. The service will be offered on a walk-in, first-come first-serve basis.

The consultants are available to discuss your statistical problems with you on Tuesdays, 10:00am-11:30am, and Thursdays, 10:00am-11:30am.

If you wish to visit the Statistics Advice Centre, please go to the front desk of the Department of Statistics and Applied Probability located at Blk S16, Level 7 to be directed to the consultant on duty.

Please note that the service offered by the Statistics Advice Centre is purely advisory. The consultant will be happy to discuss with you any problems of a statistical nature that you may have. Such problems include, but are not limited to, concerns about the design of an experiment that you are planning to do, problems that you have with data that you have collected, discussion of appropriate statistical analyses, and help with the interpretation of output of statistical packages. Any service required beyond mere advice and discussion will have to be arranged with the Statistics Consulting Centre on a collaborative and/or paid basis.

The centre will operate by appointment during the University vacation periods. Please email to stamm@nus.edu.sg to arrange an appointment.
